Nick Hodgetts Cert PFS Dip FA CeLTC
I joined the financial services industry in February 1980 as an impressionable 18-year-old working in Ipswich for a large Canadian life insurance company. I went on to serve that company all over the UK until redundancy in February 2001 when the company closed its UK marketing operation.
The experience I gained in administration, client service and sales during those two decades cannot be bought and continues to serve me well in this ever-changing industry.
Happily married since 1982, my wife and I have three grown up children who are now pursuing their own careers as a lawyer, a Mortgage and Protection Adviser and a recruitment consultant respectively.
When I’m not working, I indulge my passion for motorbikes. I am also a trustee for a charity, Autism Anglia.

Having run my own business as a Tree Surgeon for the best part of 10 years, the birth of my son in 2015 prompted a career progression to something less hazardous. I gained qualifications in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and in Equity Release (CeRER) and took up my new role in 2016.
Understanding a client’s circumstances and requirements is key to giving the best advice and is the first step in our process. My experience helps, and our research tools allow us to search the whole of the market to find the most suitable mortgage and Equity Release products.
Out of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching and watching football.

I joined a large Canadian life insurance Company in 1983 where I met and worked with Nick in a local branch office. We have been good friends ever since.
After having my first son, I took a career break and tried other things, including running my own very successful children’s clothing business for 10 years. I started working with Nick again at Lighthouse Platinum Wealth Management in 2004 as his PA, initially on an ad-hoc basis, but quickly found our growing business demanded more of my time so moved across permanently.
Married to Martin with three children, two of whom are making their own way in the world.
Life is very busy as a working Mum but when I have the time, my passions are dancing, walking and gardening. I also belong to a local fundraising group who raise money to benefit the children of our village.
